14. F.R.I.E.N.D.S: PART 2

I am not even trying to deny the fact that I am an obsessive F.R.I.E.N.D.S fan. A big thanks to my father who introduced the show to me in the first place. I remember the time when I was a kid my father would laugh watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S and I couldn’t just relate. LOL look at me now. F.R.I.E.N.D.S has made me laugh throughout all the episodes, all the seasons but made me cry a river when it ended. A show that has completely satisfied my OCD of reaching expectations. I couldn’t have asked for a better ending, unlike many other shows that have ruined themselves for me merely because of the crummy endings. In F.R.I.E.N.D.S it is hard to pick a favorite character, for me, it changes every season. The actors have portrayed their characters in such a phenomenal way. I’m sorry but I cannot pick a favorite. Phoebe Buffay’s ‘Smelly Cat’, Rachel Green’s fashion style, Monica Geller’s loud pitch, Ross Geller’s ‘Pivot’, Joey Tribbiani’s “Joey doesn’t share fooood!” and “How you doin?” and Chandler Bing’s sarcasm and his excessive use of “Couldn’t be any” has built a different kind of emotional bond which now is considered just being more than fans of the show. This is that one show I binge watch no matter what mood I appear to be in. Whether I am sad, happy, hungry, bored, angry, watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S is what you’ll find me doing. F.R.I.E.N.D.S is what helps me start a conversation with someone I like to connect with. A suggestion for all of you out there too, because who hasn’t watched F.R.I.E.N.D.S or never has heard about it? Never watched F.R.I.E.N.D.S? Maybe the conversation that you build may influence the person to watch the show. End of the day you will build a conversation with the person by talking about F.R.I.E.N.D.S rather than facing the awkwardness after “How are you? and “What do you do?”
